Autumn Update

A fantastic six weeks have passed since the Common Room cafe threw open its door. Thank you to everyone who has visited, and for all the great feedback.

True to the spirit of the age we are slowly unlocking. We had a few days of gallery opening in September for people to take in Pinkie the Gnome’s show. The work is still hanging but the door is currently closed, as we are still restricting access to semi-public areas. The show exists in virtual form on Instagram @pinkiethegnome (its original galleryspace).

The short hire rooms (see previous post) are not yet up and running, in part due to a cautiously slow unlocking policy and in part wanting the more permanent community in the building to get settled first. But we have a chiropractor and counsellor hoping to start in the smaller back rooms from early November. The larger front corner room is still work in progress being occasionally used for small meetings. No life drawing classes or wakes yet!

The upstairs shared workspace has space for 2 or 3 more people – this works as a monthly rolling lease of a generous desk space/area – please do email if this is of interest. Individual studios are all full for the time being but please do get in touch if you would like to be contacted about a space in the future, if and when opportunities arise. Many thanks
